Gaspar Insurance is currently seeking a full-time Commercial Lines Lead with a great attitude and strong work ethic to join our amazing staff at our Woodland Hills, CA office location!

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree as well as professional level experience in the insurance industry as Commercial Lines Account Manager. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, refined customer service skills, strong technical skills, and excellent communication skills. Eligible Candidate’s must demonstrate strong leadership skills to keep an organized and functional department within a growing organization.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Management level position
  • Experience with a wide variety of commercial lines policies
  • Must be able to multitask, delegate, and demonstrate execution a
  • Must be able to interact with a wide variety of personalities
  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills
  • Must have the ability to implement efficiencies and problem solve
  • Must have robust excel skills
  • Must have good written communication skills
  • CIC, CRM, or CISR preferred but not required
  • Experience with Applied EPIC preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), including coaching, disciplining, mentoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Help on-board new CSRs, communicate job expectations, and utilize personal expertise and skill set for training
  • Evaluate individual CSR job performance semi-annually, identify and address developmental needs
  • Create Commercial Audit procedures
  • Analysis of procedures and implementing streamlining
  • Train and oversee outsourced positions within department (Staff Boom)
  • Delegate workload when team members are out of office (sick/vacation)
  • Handle low level escalated customer service issues before elevation to upper management
  • Resolve accounting disputes within department
  • Update company Playbook when workflow or procedures change
  • Service an assigned book of business and fulfill standard CSR duties
